The tray icon
The area at the left or bottom of the Windows taskbar is known as the tray. When Fatbits is running it puts an icon into the tray: a hand holding a magnifying glass. You can do the following things with the icon:
- Left click the tray icon to restore the Fatbits window.
- Left double-click the tray icon to minimize Fatbits.
- Right click the tray icon to bring up the Fatbits menu.
- Right double-click the tray icon to disable or enable Fatbits.
Fatbits and program debuggers
With Windows versions prior to XP Fatbits uses a system-wide journal hook to monitor keyboard and mouse activity, which can sometimes interfere with program debuggers and cause them to deadlock. If this happens, use the Ctrl+Esc or Ctrl+Alt+Del key combinations to minimize Fatbits. It is suggested that Fatbits be kept minimized when using program debuggers unless you are using Windows XP or later.
